Overview
The Switchback is the pack we hand to first-time hikers and the one our trail crew still carries. It holds a day’s layers, lunch, two liters of water and a first-aid kit without feeling like a duffel on your back. Torso sizes are fitted in both stores, or use the sizing guide to order online.
Best for: Day hikes, overnight layers, and everyday commuting.

Carried it up Mount Mitchell and forgot it was there
Fit it at the Downtown Store (M/L, which I wouldn’t have guessed). Two liters of water, a fleece, lunch for two and it still sat on my hips instead of my shoulders. The side pockets really are reachable without taking it off.
